BluEarth Renewables has multiple decades of successful development, construction, and operation of large-scale projects. Their website hadn’t been redesigned in years, and it couldn’t keep up with their business growth, including expansions into energy storage and projects in the United States.

BluEarth has a diverse audience, ranging from investors and government employees to land owners, First Nations peoples, potential recruits, and media. The website redesign needed exceptionally strong information architecture and navigation, with clear paths to key content for each audience. Improving the content flow was our key objective in initial sitemaps and prototyping.

Style Concepts

BluEarth already had a great brand style, and we wanted to preserve that in the new web design. We worked with a palette of blues contrasted with dark grey and white, and added fresh, modern typography. With all the new and improved content areas, we were able to create more room for striking photography to better tell their story. The overall feel is clean and open, which reflects their purpose and work.

Bringing it all together

The new BluEarth Renewables website is ready to grow and expand with their operations, and to drive their digital strategy. Many content areas have been expanded to tell their story as a young, dynamic company, and capture the importance of the work that they do. The new Careers area is a stronger recruitment tool, with engaging photos and benefit highlights. The interactive projects map lets visitors explore their work by project type, energy source, and location.
