CORE was an interesting project for us, because they’re a program that connects people working in or researching the fairly new healthy aging sector in Canada. They require multiple provincial websites as well as a national website.

Our goal was to launch the primary national website with a well-crafted parent theme that could easily be applied to all future provincial sites. A strong WordPress multisite development would allow their teams to manage everything in one clean dashboard, but add unique content and design options for the individual sites.

Style Concepts

CORE came to us with a clear brand style already in place, but ready for a brighter look and feel that could work effectively on every one of their websites. We worked with them over slight variations of style tiles using their existing palette, but softening some of the reds and blues to create a less intense and clinical effect.

Bringing It All Together

The new CORE Canada multisite design is a vibrant and welcoming user experience that fully evokes their social networking capabilities. After launching the main site, we were able to help them quickly add sites for B.C. and Alberta. We integrated a sophisticated plugin called BuddyBoss, which turned their website into a social platform for the researchers. The plugin was so successful that we now recommend it to other clients with similar needs.
