Sue Riddlestone OBE
Sue Riddlestone is Chief Executive of Bioregional, and an award-winning social entrepreneur (Skoll Awardee). Sue co-founded Bioregional nearly thirty years ago, with the purpose of finding ways to enable us all to live well within the natural limits of the planet and leave sufficient space for nature.
Having collaborated to develop some world-leading exemplars including the world-famous BedZED eco-village in south London, the One Planet Living sustainability framework and a transformational partnership with Kingfisher and B&Q. Today, Sue and the team work mostly in an advisory capacity with companies and organisations to create sustainable homes, communities, high streets and eco-products and services.
Sue knows that we need systemic change to really make the difference and so she draws on Bioregional’s work with partners and clients to make the case for better policy and industry practice, currently as a Director of the Future Homes Hub, and from 2010-2015 Sue was actively involved in creating the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In 2013 Sue was awarded an OBE for services to sustainable business and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
