Renewable energy is central to sustainability and net zero targets, as businesses and households explore ways to manage their emissions and have a positive impact. An organisation at the heart of this movement and a vocal advocate for the power of collective action, Ripple Energy is an innovative and purpose-driven organisation on a mission.
This talk will explore Ripple’s unique proposition and the benefits it offers - how people and organisations can own part of a wind farm or solar park along with thousands of others, and have their greener, cheaper energy supplied to them via the grid.
With an appreciation of the considerations faced by decision-makers, Charlotte will present the case for fractional ownership, based primarily on additionality. Comparisons with onsite generation, a REGO-backed tariff or Power Purchase Agreement, and how these can complement each other or present solutions in different circumstances, will also be covered.
A key aim of this presentation will be to encourage action. How and why to get involved, plus addressing some commonly asked questions, so that attendees can leave informed and empowered to take tangible climate action today.
