Gershon was formerly Global Head of Infrastructure Funds at Abrdn plc, a position he held for 10 years. He was responsible for the leadership and development of a global infrastructure direct investing equity funds platform consisting of 10 unlisted funds, with $5bn of institutional investment under management. The platform, which he founded in 1998, focused on the illiquid/alternatives investment space and embedded sustainability strategies to deliver positive environmental and social impact. Prior to Abdrn, he was Global Head of Project Finance at Lloyds Banking Group. He is a NED at several UK infrastructure companies including Semperian Holdings, and advisory board member of fund managers in Latin America and USA. Gershon served as a member of the UK Government’s National Infrastructure Plan Strategic Engagement Forum and represented business as part of B20/G20 task forces on Trade and Investment and Financing Growth promoting the use of public private partnerships for delivery of social and economic infrastructure globally.
