Britt-Marie McQueen has a long experience of leadership in the Swedish public sector. She has worked as a CEO and/or municipal director in seven different Swedish communities and since 2018 as CEO in the very south of Sweden, in the municipality of Tomelilla. Britt-Marie is passionate about trust-based management and governance and is a visionary and action-oriented leader. Her motto is “to go from words to action”. Leadership to her means moving an organization from one place to the next in tune with what is happening in the outside world. Last but not least, being in tune with the outside world means constantly focusing on social, environmental and financial sustainability. As a framework for their sustainable development, Tomelilla Municipality has chosen to work with Doughnut Economics.
